Seeking a calmer, more functional space, George and Henrietta worked with Dom at Exeter Kitchen Store to create a kitchen that’s both beautifully serene and perfectly practical.
INTRO
George and Henrietta weren’t in a rush - they just knew it was time for a change. Their kitchen needed to feel calmer, better organised, and more in tune with how they actually live. A visit to Exeter Kitchen Store set things in motion, and with Dom on the case, their ideas started taking shape. The process was relaxed, collaborative and completely tailored to them. The result? A space that’s beautifully serene and brilliantly functional.
THE PROCESS
This kitchen was all about balance. George and Henrietta wanted something characterful but calm - and the Belsay Woodgrain in Reed Green hit exactly the right note. With its soft, earthy tone and subtle grain, it instantly brought warmth and personality into the space, without overwhelming it.
Working closely with Dom, they explored how to rework the layout to feel more open and inviting, without sacrificing storage. A pull-out larder and LeMans corner unit kept things practical and organised, while integrated appliances helped streamline the look.
The design also features thoughtful details throughout - from clever lighting choices to soft-close drawers - all coming together to make everyday life that little bit smoother. It’s a kitchen that works hard behind the scenes, while always looking effortlessly elegant.
