BLUE GREY SHAKER KITCHEN DESIGN
MR & MRS MAY
Mrs May was planning a kitchen renovation when she came across Exeter Kitchen Store on her way back from another showroom in Marsh Barton. She was impressed that every kitchen is proudly made in Exeter, where the company has been crafting quality, stylish designs since 1975.

COLOUR, STYLE, STORAGE HARMONY
Initially unsure of what she wanted, Mrs May met with our experienced designer Dom Fullick to explore the wide range of door styles and colour options. Together, they carefully considered combinations that would work harmoniously.
The result is a beautifully balanced kitchen featuring our Mornington real-wood shaker doors in Hartforth Blue and Dove Grey, complemented by cup and knob handles. The kitchen island includes ample base drawers, maximising storage. Dark Hartforth Blue contrasts elegantly with the Ammonite Glacier White worktops supplied by local specialists Steve Bristow Masonry. Integrated appliances include a Neff venting hob with built-in extractor, fridge freezer nestled between bookshelves and wine rack, and a Quooker Fusion Square boiling water tap in Patinated Brass with a Belfast sink.

SEAMLESS FAMILY UTILITY ROOM
Mr and Mrs May also have a cleverly concealed utility room tucked away at the far end of their kitchen. After discussing options with Dom, they decided to continue the kitchen’s design theme by installing the same stylish Mornington cupboards and matching worktops in the utility room, creating a seamless and coordinated look throughout the space.
The design didn’t just focus on practicality for the family; their adorable two-year-old Toy Poodle, Alfie, received a special treat too. Dom incorporated a bespoke dog bed area directly into the cabinetry, giving Alfie his very own cosy nook. Alfie has taken to it immediately, clearly thrilled with his dedicated space, making the utility room not only functional but also perfectly tailored to the whole family’s needs.
