Having previously used Howdens for kitchen updates, they approached this project with open minds and a shared goal: to get the best result in terms of both quality and service. Working with Jack Woodcock, the couple selected Belsay Beaded doors in Reed Green and Cashmere , a soft, heritage-inspired pairing that perfectly suits the rural setting and adds a sense of warmth and comfort to the modernised space.
THE PROCESS
The customers needed a kitchen that could do it all: function for family life, offer plenty of storage and create a welcoming space for entertaining. Jack’s design delivered just that.
At the heart of the kitchen is a large central island, designed to offer ample prep space, informal seating, and a natural spot for the family to gather throughout the day.
Surrounding this focal point, clever storage features such as a corner larder and glazed wall cabinets help keep the space organised without compromising its bright and open feel. Jack carefully selected a suite of integrated appliances to suit the couple’s needs, including Neff CircoTherm ovens, a BOSCH microwave, and a Samsung American-style fridge freezer, ensuring the kitchen is as functional as it is stylish.
The design is elevated further with premium details like a Quooker boiling water tap, Elica extractor, and a sleek induction hob, all framed by luxurious 30mm Sandstorm granite worktops and matching upstands. Even practical elements, such as pull-out bins, have been thoughtfully considered to maintain the kitchen’s clean, streamlined look.
What was once a working barn is now a beautiful, modern home and at its heart is a kitchen that brings everyone together.
