Karen and Adam met with designer Jack Woodcock, seeking a kitchen design that would boldly contrast their light-coloured walls with a dark, dramatic aesthetic. To bring warmth and charm, solid oak accents were thoughtfully incorporated throughout the space, creating a striking yet inviting kitchen that balanced drama with cosy elegance.
DARK CABINETS, OAK ACCENTS
After exploring various colour options, they chose our Mornington Door in Graphite to complement the large window frames and Dust Grey for the island to provide contrast. The cabinets feature cast iron knob handles with cup handles on the drawers, enhancing the modern, distinctive aesthetic.
The bespoke cabinetry seamlessly incorporates the fridge, freezer, and ovens, framing the pale worktop where the induction hob sits. Jack’s thoughtful design principles have opened the kitchen, keeping all essentials within reach while maintaining a clutter-free space.
The solid oak feature contrasts beautifully with the dark cabinetry, adding warmth to the heart of the home. Its natural tones harmonize with the industrial-style lighting above the island.
HIDDEN PANTRY, INDUSTRIAL ELEGANCE
Next to the in-built ovens, you’ll discover a hidden pantry that features a beautifully crafted real-wood spice rack. Designed for both style and function, the bespoke cabinet offers excellent visibility and effortless accessibility. Its adjustable shelving allows Karen and Adam to customise the space to perfectly suit their needs, making it as practical as it is elegant.
