EKS GETS FRESH LOOK
When Matt began renovating his new home, he knew where to start. Having enjoyed an Exeter Kitchen Store kitchen before, he returned for another tailored space. This kitchen sits within an older property that came with a few quirks, like uneven walls, but our designers collaborated with Matt to craft a layout that balanced the building’s character with a sleek, practical design.
EVERYDAY LIVING, SMARTLY STYLED
Matt selected Mornington Vale in Carbon for its sleek, modern shaker style and complemented it with bold Black Fusion Granite worktops, creating a kitchen that’s both stylish and practical. Every appliance is from BOSCH, guaranteeing dependable performance in a space designed to handle the demands of family life.
Along the rear wall, a tall bank of cabinetry elegantly integrates the washing machine and tumble dryer, a built-in oven, a micro-combi oven, and a BOSCH fridge and freezer. This smart layout maximises storage while keeping all daily essentials neatly organised, combining functionality with a clean, contemporary aesthetic that suits busy households.
COMPACT KITCHEN, BIG IMPACT
To the right, a practical run of cabinetry houses the dishwasher and sink, while the boiler is fully concealed, creating a clean, seamless look that feels both polished and functional. At the centre of the room, the island becomes the heart of the kitchen. It features a BOSCH induction hob and generous space for seating, allowing Matt to cook, chat, and entertain with ease.
Despite the kitchen’s relatively compact footprint, the island opens up the space, making it feel social, balanced, and inviting. This project beautifully demonstrates how thoughtful design, clever storage solutions, and a bold, cohesive colour palette can transform a smaller kitchen. The result is a space that is both practical and full of personality, perfectly tailored to Matt’s lifestyle and home.
