RETURNING TO EKS FOR A NEW RENOVATION

When Matt began renovating his new home, he knew exactly where he wanted to start. Having already had an Exeter Kitchen Store kitchen in his previous property, he returned to our team for another space that would work beautifully for everyday living.

This kitchen sits within an older property, which meant the room came with a few quirks, including walls that weren’t quite straight. Our designers worked closely with Matt to create a layout that embraced the character of the building, while still delivering the neat, streamlined look he wanted.

A SMART, STYLISH KITCHEN FOR EVERYDAY LIVING

Matt chose Mornington Vale in Carbon for its modern shaker feel and paired it with striking Black Fusion Granite worktops. Every appliance in the kitchen is BOSCH, ensuring reliable performance in a space that works hard for family life.

Along the back wall, a tall bank of cabinetry brings together the washing machine and tumble dryer, a built-in oven and micro-combi oven, plus a BOSCH fridge and freezer. This elevation provides generous storage and keeps the essentials neatly organised.

To the right, a practical run of cabinetry includes the dishwasher and sink, with the boiler fully concealed to maintain a clean, cohesive look.

At the centre of the room, the island becomes the heart of the kitchen. It features a BOSCH induction hob, with space for seating so Matt can cook, chat and entertain with ease. Despite the smaller footprint of the room, the island makes the space feel open, social and well balanced.

This project is a great example of how considered design, clever storage and a strong colour palette can elevate a compact kitchen. The result is a room full of personality and practicality, tailored perfectly to Matt’s home and lifestyle.
